Pondicherry Airport Flights Schedule and Ticket Prices #PNY #Pondicherry

Finally Pondicherry gets air connected with 5 major cities. Starting 17th January 2013, fly direct from Pondicherry to Bengaluru. Passengers could also fly to Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Hyderabad from Pondicherry via Bangalore.

The schedule of 50-minute-long travel is: Pondicherry (Departure) -13.30 and Bangalore (arrival) - 14.20, Bangalore (Departure) - 12.20 and Pondicherry (arrival) - 13.10. The tickets are priced for Pondicherry to Bangalore at Rs 3193 and from Bangalore to Pondicherry at Rs 3445. Round trip is priced at Rs 6638.
Advance booking for Pondicherry to Bangalore would cost passengers around Rs 2668 (one or two months before journey) and around Rs 2920 for Bangalore to Pondicherry.

Pondicherry University tries for world ranking

The Pondicherry University is attempting to enter the world ranking of Universities through a popular ranking mechanism, Vice Chancellor J A K Tareen told newsmen. He said that based on the application, the University has been recognised and allowed to furnish details of achievements and records. The data provided would be processed under different parameters and assessed.

When asked about the Indian ranking of the University, he said that there was no proper mechanism for ranking universities in India. The University proposed massive expansion under two separate heads totally worth over 1,600 crore under the XIIth Plan. It planned to double student strength to 12,000 and enhance faculty by 444.

Azimuth conducted Intercollegiate English Essay competition on women’s day

Azimuth celebrated international women’s day in their campus with an essay competition for the arts college students. 18 students from different colleges were participated in the competition, Achariya college student won the First prize of Rs. 2000 and got a certificate of appreciation. Bharathidasan college student got second prize.

Film director Bharathiraja visits seeman

Film director bharathiraja and actor manivannan visted the central prison at kalapet and met director seeman who is in judicial custody for 14 Days. Seeman was arrested for his provocative speech made during a fast observed by law college students here in support of tamils in srilanka.
